Iīm the female side of the only husband and wife team on the GT staff. My responsibility is to tell how the course looks to a gal, or one who is not necessarily a big hitter. Part two is to tell what else there is to do besides golf, (Thereīs something ELSE to do?) such as shopping, dining, attractions, things to keep the kids busy, spas, side trips, what to wear as to casual vs.sport formal, little insider info.
Iīd like feedback from gals as to how they viewed a course, or little things they discovered. We need our own network so we can enjoy the outing even more.
This tip coinsides with husband Don Thompsonīs clue about the "All you can play" at the Nakoma Golf Resort outside of Portola. Go shopping in Graeagle, the town just a few miles from the golf course. There are some really unique places. Tip two is is dining at the Iron Door in Johnsville on the road past Plumas Pines golf course. This is a locals favorite. The only problem is the hours and days it is open because of weather etc. Call first, 530-836-2376.
