Profile of Dale ArchibaldDale Archibald
Also other writings at my RVGolfer blog on blogger. My grandfather was a printer and editor. My dad was a printer. I´ve been a writer for more than 30 years, published everywhere from Boys´ Life to Women´s Wear Daily. My first sale was to United Press International, on "How to hitchhike". I started Computer User Magazine in 1982, and have been aeditor and columnist for various publications on subjects from telecommunications to RVing. I have written about golf for some 10 years. It is my handicap; if I ever shoot my age, I´ll live to 130. But I´m a Scot by heritage, descended from an immigrant who arrived in East Palestine Ohio from Peebles, Scotland in 1883. Among my fondest souvenirs is an 1890´s Christmas card to my great grandfather that features a sporting group at Musselburgh G.C. Perhaps the game is in my genes. Headquartered in Minnesota, with roots in California, I commute between the two states, sampling courses and the golfing life as I go. |
