With all the professional tours now going to drug testing programs, it begs the question -- why?  Can any of these drugs really enhance a player´s ability to get the ball in the hole?  First of all, there has been a lot of pressure to do so, but is that the only reason?  Gary Player has said that he´s certain that there are professional golfers using steroids and/or other performance enhancing drugs, and I wouldn´t doubt it.  They can certainly help golfers in various ways, and with all that money on the line, it makes sense that some players will do whatever it takes to gain an edge, despite the risks.
